Code ownership & custody
Version 2026-10-26 · Effective 26 October 2026
Who owns the code Praxeri builds for you, where it is kept, and how it becomes fully yours to keep. McMasters Holdings, LLC operates Praxeri.
You own the code
- You own the code Praxeri builds for your project, from the first line, and everything you brought in. Praxeri claims no ownership of it.
- Owning it and holding it are different things. During the trial, Praxeri holds it for you, as described below, until you move it to a GitHub account of your own.
- Praxeri never holds your code back to make you stay or pay. Praxeri charges no fee during the beta. Outside your trial, you pay Anthropic directly for your own Claude plan and API usage.
Where it lives during the trial
- Praxeri keeps the trial code in a private repository in Praxeri's GitHub organization. Only Praxeri's builds and the small team supervising the beta can reach it; it is never public.
- You can read the code at any time from your project ("See the code").
- If you already connected your own GitHub account when you started, the code is built straight into your account instead, and nothing needs to move.
Moving it to your own GitHub
- When you are ready, Praxeri moves the code to your own GitHub account with its full history: a real move of the same project, not a copy and not an empty project.
- GitHub asks you to accept the move. Once you accept, the code lives in your account and Praxeri no longer holds it. Until then, Praxeri keeps holding it privately.
- If you don't have a GitHub account yet, Praxeri shows you how to create one first.
If it is never moved
- Praxeri holds trial code for 14 days after your first preview.
- If it has not been moved by then, we will email you first. 48 hours after that email, Praxeri deletes the unclaimed trial code from its GitHub organization.
- Your project's record in Praxeri (finish line, decisions, history) stays until you delete it or your account.
